I was working on a really large paint project the other day (you had a sneak peek if you follow me on
Instagram) and while I was waiting for the paint to dry I decided to give a pair of Craigslist stools a little makeover.
Here is the before... nasty 80's wood and horrible fabric.
and after....
I simply used my chalk paint recipe and some more of the marine vinyl that I had used on my vintage highchair. I distressed slightly and then waxed it.
They aren't my dream stools, but they'll do for awhile.
Total cost of project:
$10 pair of stools
$0 for paint (leftover from another project)
$0 for vinyl ( well, I guess you could say 10 cents or so, considering I paid a $1.50 for a couple yards at a garage sale)
Gotta love that price tag!
Oh and the yellow paint color I used was Yellow Magnolia by Martha Stewart
So pretty, right!?
Wait till you see what else I painted this color!
I'll be sharing it later this week!
