I know, I know,...
I have no business linking up to do a room makeover when I still haven't revealed my son's room, BUT I couldn't resist being a part of Linda's challenge!
If you don't know about the One Room Challenge, its basically a challenge to give one a makeover in 6 weeks. You can read more about it on her blog!
So what room am I going to to be giving a makeover?
That would be Ellery's room...
Here it is in its current state.
Pitched roof line....
a crib she is quickly out growing...
and a complete lack of storage (since I already stole this bookcase for Ever's room...)
My design plan for this room is based off of this totally amazing granny chair I scored on Craigslist (that my husband REALLY hates )! Back when I first bought the chair I did some design boards to convince show him how it could be used.
This combination that spoke to me the most...
...although this design has already been tweaked because of the few fabric purchases I recently made.
Can you say #grannychic ?
Here's what I hope to accomplish in the next 6 weeks:
- Paint Room - walls/ceiling/ trim
- Build a bed / get twin or full mattress
- Reupholster a vintage headboard (that's currently living in my garage)
- paint a night stand
- make/ hang curtains
- makeover dollhouse
- sew pillows
- paint picture frames for gallery wall
- find a large rug
Not to much to handle I don't think.
Plus this totally helps me focus on something other than the last 8 weeks of this pregnancy!
