Yesterday I showed you the darling little set up for my daughter's Ballerina Sparkle Party and I promised you another party today!

My littlest girl turns 3 today...

haha...its always the same isn't it? We want them to grow up and can't wait for the "next" stage, but then they do and its like hold your horses kiddo!

We are in full on party prep mode here at the Koogler house. I spent most of yesterday covered in sparkles because a certain 3 year old has requested a Ballerina Sparkle Party (I will be sharing all the details next week!

We are going to have a house full of people starting Thursday as well, all because of this little peanut! She commands attention and if you met her you wouldn't be able to resist her either.

So here is Ellery MacKenzie or Kenzie or Elle or Ellie Mac...thru the last 3 years...(we are working on getting actual 3 year photos soon!)

The Amazing Spiderman Thank You Cards

I love when I get requests for design work, especially when it pushes me out of my comfort zone! 

I used THIS FONT for the word "spideriffic"

My sister asked me to make these "thank yous"  for her son's 4th birthday. She was inspired by comic books and some invitations she found on Etsy. I have never created anything comic related, but I really enjoyed the process! I love G-Man in his Spider suit looking all tough and stuff and am super proud to say I created this entire thing from scratch ..including drawing the skyline of Seattle!

2 year birthday!

Little Miss Ellery turned 2!

 Sure its taken me a month to do a post about it, but have you tired to keep up with a 2 year old lately? Exhausting!!! I also can't seem to get her to sit still for pictures...unlike her little brother, but thankfully my sister was able to capture some super cute pics of  Elle on her birthday! 

Belly Tales {3 months}

Not only is today Valentine's Day, but is also Everett's 3 month birthday!! I'm so lucky to have this little man in my life! We all love him so much...even if he only does one of three things...laugh, cry or eat! Haha! He's going by several nicknames lately...I tend to call him Ever-since Everett seems too old for him and it is an old family name that I have always wanted to use. Justin calls him "bubi" because he says Everett isn't big enough to be called "bubba"! Haha! I prefer Bubi anyways and its so cute when Ellery calls him that. My grandma has her own special nickname for him, her brother's name is Everett as well, but they always called him Dib, so she gave our Everett the name "Lil Dib"! I love it too!

 I set up his 3 month photo shoot a bit different this time...using my collection of old tool boxes for the backdrop. I'm still learning, but these are my best yet...course, it could just be the totally adorable subject matter!!

a {Valentine} mantel

Right now our house is in a state of TOTAL chaos! It is literally a hodge podge of partially finished projects...kitchen is getting bead board...trim is primed...borders are pulled down... 3 ugly chairs desperately need to be painted...a new headboard is up in the master, 80% of the rooms needs paint...etc....you get the idea. Not to mention, no less than once a day, I contemplate ripping down at least one of three hideous medicine cabinets throughout the house. Nothing seems to be getting done as fast as we would like, thanks to a nasty bout with the flu that wiped out our whole household, but in the midst of the craziness I tried to carve out a tad bit of beauty.

 I gathered a few nick-nacks from around the house and put together this little mantel display.

I started with an old weathered door for the back drop, then added this cute sign that I got from my aunt when little Ever was born....

 displayed my collection of vintage hat pins in old milk glass vases!

A pretty little Valentine's mantel don't you think! You would never know that there is blue painters tape and sawdust every where else! haha!

Stairway Art

I have been MIA these last couple weeks... due to being in full on nesting mode!
Which is a good thing and means I have been knocking projects off my list left and right. I also celebrated my 30th birthday in there and had my parents come visit for a week! Who says turning 30 isn't a blast!?

Having my mom stay with me was a HUGE blessing! She helped with many of the little projects that desperately needed done( like hanging tons of baby cloths and ripping down offending border in the baby's room)! She also helped with a few projects I was too afraid to tackle on my own. One of those was my stairway photo wall... I have a very hard time committing on where to hang artwork, my mom on the other hand just goes for it! Her house is an example of how to hang art work correctly...it all makes sense and is always the right scale for its location. I don't know how she does it! I, on the other hand, way over think everything...which is why my mud room is pretty much an art work storage area. Kinda sad! SO...while she was here, I asked if she would help me hang pictures in my stairwell. I wasn't going to hang much art work until the walls and trim got painted (notice the lovely honey colored stair rail ..blah..), but I think my nesting mode makes me want our house to feel more lived in. Thankfully my mom took on the task and showed me a thing or two in the process!

I had a ton of black framed family photos and an empty one I wanted to make a sign for. We got the idea to add a few other empty frames to balance out the first one!

I wanted to give you all a sneak peek at my daughters {almost} finished room...it is actually all done except for curtains...which is done, right? I don't know when those will get done since we are CRAZY busy right now and because I am to impatient to wait for them to get done, I will be posting a full room tour later this week. But as a teaser I thought I would share a little project that you can easily do yourself- I'm including a PDF template so you can print it at home...or you can paint it like I did!
